OJ : Submitting to God (Mon) 16 Apr
John 21: 15-19
"17 The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."What this verse is trying to say...If we really love Jesus, submit to him, do what he wants us to do, care for fellow cell members.
How this applies to me...Many a times, during Praise and Worship, I have expressed how much I love God through the songs we sang, sometimes even tearing when I felt how much God love us and would like to love Him back just as much. But somehow all just like ends there. There are no actions taken...just mere words and feelings. I have came across this verse many times and know one way of showing love to God will be by caring for my cell members and fellow bro n sis in Christ. But think I have done very little for them, especially my cell members...the very sheep God entrusted to me...
Reading this verse again challenges me to once again pick up the shepard's staff and really look after God's sheep....all my cell members. Really care for them and communicate more with them. Feed them with spiritual food and look after their spiritual health, so that they might all grow up healthily and become shepards too....
Sorry to all my cell members for spending so little time with you all. Only talking to you all on Sunday...somemore only during cell...sorry for not being there when you all needed a friend to talk to...Sorry for all the things I have not done...
So this is what I will do....there will be a personal (yue tan) session with each of you after my exams, sorry these few days busy with last min studies...., and after that I will try my best to call you all up during the weekdays. There will also be a tution class during my holidays. I am open up to suggestions of what more I can do to help you all. Feel free to drop me a sms or call.
Emmanuel!!!
