Hello cell,
Do you guys sometimes find it difficult to do QT (Quiet Time)? No discipline....don't understand....too chim....
Here are some ways to help you, from books:
7 Guidelines to help you make the most of our QT: 1) Set aside a regular time for QT. At least 15 minutes EVERYDAY.
Unless you schedule it, you'll have the tendency to neglect it.
2) Before you start reading the bible, ask God for help and understanding. PRAY
3) Carefully think about what you are reading. Not all of the Bible's treasures lie like pebbles on the surface. To mine the gold, you gonna dig. READ AND READ AGAIN - what does this bible verses says?
4) Seek to understand what the author was saying to the people in that generation (their background) and than APPLY to your own life today.
5) WRITE DOWN at least ONE truth(bible verse) that speaks to you or principle that you can put into practice.
6) Try different translations of the bible to get fullest meaning of some familiar words.
7) PERSEVERE. DON'T BE DISCOURAGED. Some parts of the bible is interesting than the others. But there's enough that you can understand, and it'll revolutionize your life if you apply it.
8) Added by yanling...hahahah! Anything don't know after reading, ASK.
You may wanna ask cell leader or our Dao shi to have clearer idea.
Matt 7:7 "ASK and you will be given, SEEK and you will find, knock and the door will be open to you"

Lastly, HOMEWORK this week.....
-> after doing QT this week, POST at least one day of your QT reflection to this blog
1) QUOTE the verse you read. eg. Matt 5:3-10 "Blessed are the poor in spirit...."
2) What is the verse trying to say?
3) What did God speak to you through the verses?
4) What is your reflection after reading it? eg; i think im going to change.....etc (Example.)
"To Know God Better, Read His WOrds."
